What Is LED Lighting

LED technology is simple. It has no moving parts, no requirement to generate heat in order to illuminate and no warm-up time.

LED means a Light Emitting Diode. A diode is a small particle created by the merging of any two conductive materials.

When a current is passed through the Diode, one of the two materials acts as a semi-conductor producing more energy than its mate.

Because the two materials are joined together the one producing the most energy transfers some of it to its mate and in doing so emits light as a byproduct of this activity.
